Sarah D. LLPC, CADC-DP

Hi, I'm Sara Demsky, an LLPC with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School. I'm passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can navigate life's most difficult experiences while discovering hope, resilience, and meaningful change.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and co-occurring disorders, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a special passion for working with military service members, veterans, first responders, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and individuals navigating the lasting effects of trauma.

My counseling approach is rooted in Reality Therapy and trauma-informed care. I believe that while we can't change what has happened to us, we can regain a sense of control by focusing on the choices we make today. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and work toward the life you want to create.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent years working alongside first responders in an administrative capacity. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the emotional demands placed on those who serve others and continues to shape the compassionate, practical approach I bring to the counseling relationship.

I'm committed to providing evidence-based, individualized care in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. I believe counseling is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and positive change.

Healing begins with a single step, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
