Jason H. “Jake” LLMSW, CADC

Mr. Heusted completed a Bachelors of Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2015 and followed up by completing his Masters Degree in Chemical Dependency and Mental Health with a focus on trauma and group facilitation from EMU.  Mr. Heusted is also a MCBAP certified addiction professional. Jake began his journey in the helping profession due to overcoming his own personal struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. Mr. Heusted is a person in long term recovery and has been in recovery since 2004, he is also an active member of the local recovery community. Jake provides services with a perspective from the 12 step model, Cognitive Behavioral approach and also has training specific to Gestalt therapy and Motivational Interviewing. “I know recovery from all conditions can take place, we just need compassion and support, as a social worker I like to see the person as a whole, our environment is part of who we are.”
