Derek Daniel CADC

Derek has been part of the Milford Counseling team since 2016, beginning as an intern.  In January of 2017, he established himself as an intern therapist and relapse prevention group facilitator with a CADC developmental plan.  After receiving his Associates Degree for Mental Health/Social Work from Oakland Community College in 2018, he began working as a social service technician also. Derek has over 25 years of long-term recovery experience, and is qualified to treat the spectrum of substance use disorders from mild to severe using a variety of modalities that include: client centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Derek is continuing his education, and is hoping to work toward his Master’s Degree in Social Work.
